Adamawa Bye-Election: Fintiri Emerges PDP Gov. Candidate, Floors Modibo, Marwa, Others

PDP candidate for the October bye election

The Acting Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri has emerged the winner of the PDP primaries for the October 11th, 2014 governorship bye-election.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oladimeji Bankole who announced the result at 4.03am Sunday morning said 23 votes were  invalid.

The result shows that Fintiri won with 624 votes, while Dr. Modibbo came a distant 2nd with 197 votes.

Retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa got 54 votes, while Dr. Arod and  Jery  Kundisi scored 09 and  04 votes respectively.

Fintiri, a former speaker of the state House of Assembly took over as acting governor following the impeachment of former governor, Murtala Nyako and his deputy, Bala Ngilari.
